Update: Count Greenbeard

I cleaned it up a little more, and added some shadow to make the pauldron and helmet stand out a little more. In the original I found the helmet was too much blending into the rest of the breastplate.

Dead Castaway

I originally doodled this at work, and I liked the way it turned out, so I re-drew it at home. This time, I added a ship that is sailing away, which makes the whole scene a little more tragic.

Soviet Illustrations Part 2

Designed for the UCSB Russian club. It features a stylized likeness of one of the Russian language professors, in Stalin-like garb. The whole thing was done using the free image editor GIMP.
Another design for the UCSB Russian club in 2006. It was based on this classic poster from the civil war era. It was done by hand using a two-sided marker. A part of the picture has been cropped out in the scan, and the full text was not yet complete in this digital version. The full text read, "You, have (you) joined yet".

Like the images from the previous set, this one was made in the vector drawing program Inkscape. This is from a detail a Soviet poster. To get the right proportions I removed Engels from selection.

Soviet Ilustrations Part I

This is a set of Soviet themed designs, I made using the original copies cleaned up and modified in Inkscape. The first two were made using a tiny design found in the background of a Soviet postage stamp.
